Sunshine & Sprinkles Birthday

Hi friends! I'm still working on birthday card ideas, so I thought I share this one with you. I'm not really sure what I think about it. I'll let you be the judge of it. I will say that I like the colors!

I used the Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series Paper and it has the bright colors that I like using and I also used the Needlepoint Border Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Are you ready to see how the card turned out?

I also used the fun new Designer Builder Brads and backed the brad by punching out a scallop circle. The paper that I added to the brad is also from the Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series Paper. Here's a close up picture.

So what do you think, is this a keeper?

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Beautiful Birthday Wood 125562

The Big Shot

Hi friends! It has come to my attention that some of my readers are not aware of what the Big Shot is!!! So today I will attempt to provide you with some information of this wonderful tool.

Here is what this fantastic product looks like!

So what is the Big Shot? It is a manual, multipurpose die-cutting system that is used to quickly and easily create various projects! Great for cards, scrapbook pages, home decor and more. Capable of cutting die-cut or embossed shapes, envelopes, tags and baskets. Can cut a variety of materials (such as paper, thick corkboard, thick chipboard (59 mil) Balsa wood, Tin (.008) Aluminum (.016) fabric, canvas; the list goes on), needs no electricity! It can also be used with dies from any manufacturer.

It comes with 2 Standard Cutting Pads and Multipurpose Cutting Platform; all other dies and accessories are sold separately. Here's a view of the Cutting Pads and Multipurpose Cutting Platform.

Now lets discuss the dies. Bigz and Original dies are designed to cut through multiple sheets of paper and a variety of materials, such as Designer Fabric, Designer Series Paper and more. Here is a sample photo of what a Bigz die looks like.

The Embosslits dies cut and emboss at the same time and are designed to only cut one sheet of card stock at a time. Use paper that is the same size or larger than the die.

Edgelits dies create die-cut card edges with an open design that allows you to place the die exactly where you want them. These dies are designed to cut one sheet of card stock or paper at a time.

Framelits are thin open design dies that cut multiple sizes for layers or use a single die cut as a accent. Framelits allow you to see exactly where you are cutting without guessing!

Textured Impression Embossing Folders create deep, bold embossed images. Designed to emboss one sheet of card stock are paper at a time.

Depending on the die you are using you are required to build a sandwich using your Multipurpose Platform to ensure a proper cut. I'm not going to go into the sandwiches you would use for each die, but instructions are included when you purchase the die and your demonstrator would be happy to help you make sure you have all the necessary parts needed and to help you build your sandwich properly!

I hope this has been helpful information! Now the next time I mention I used the Big Shot you will know what I am referring to! It really is a fantastic tool and I find myself using it for every project!

Don't forget I'm participating in the LNS 2013 Spring Treasure Hunt and I've decided to give away my clue, so you will want to participate in the treasure hunt and return your clues to me at the end of the contest!

Keep On Stamping!

Hi friends! This was shared on the Stampin' Up! blog and I thought I would share it with you! Enjoy!

KEEP ON STAMPING!

I hope you have (or are thinking about) signing up for Paper Pumpkin. Beyond the cute project you can make with each kit, you are left with stamps and ink to keep stamping with. Below are some projects made using the “Try It” kit stamps, along with a few additional supplies.
Order a set of note cards with envelopes, some fun ink colors, and your choice of embellishments—and you have 20 quick and easy cards to have on hand. Stamp the row of polka dots in the shape of an arrowhead (alternating colors). Swap out the sentiment—or leave it blank—to customize it to the occasion. I also added Designer Series Paper to sass up the envelope.

Are you a scrapbooker? Are you into “Project Life”? This little 3" x 4" journaling card was fast to make. Stamp a stack and carry them in your purse—you never know when you’ll need to jot down a thought to preserve it.

Headed on a road trip—or just need to quietly entertain the kids for a while? Stamp a bunch of 3" x 3" cards with rows of polka dots. Remember the dot game? Give the kids some markers and a few of these. Ahhhh . . . peace and quiet!

I love little projects, so making 2" x 2" cards is fun for a few reasons. They are easy to cut, easy to create, and perfect for sweet little messages. I used the Jewelry Tag Punch, the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, and some Linen Thread to complete this card. Ink the word “Thoughts” using a Stampin’ Write Marker, and use just one of the polka dots to create the perfect flower center.

Last, but not least, make yourself a cute, trendy desk decoration. I used a photo clip to hold up a mini playing card adorned with a Silver Glimmer Paper ampersand, along with two ampersands from the Jots & Thoughts Stamp Set. Add some ribbon to match your décor. Done.

Post and pin the extra projects you make with the stamps from this kit. I will be keeping my eye out for them! Now, get stamping!

Paper Pumpkin Welcome Kit has Arrived

Hi friends! I received my Paper Pumpkin Welcome Kit on yesterday, so I thought I would share with you my thoughts on the kit! If you don't know what I'm talking about you can read more about this new product offering here!

When you receive the kit, it comes nicely packaged! You receive instructions on how to complete the projects with a full color photo and step-by-step instructions! When finished you have 4 completed cards from this kit.

What I like about the kits are the exclusive stamps that come with the kit that you will be able to use later after you have finished your project. I made one card to show you what a completed card looks like, I did change it up a bit! Here is the completed card!

I did add a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to my button, this does not come in the kit! That's the fun part, adding your own personality to the project. I also did another card to give you an idea of how you could use the stamp after you had used up the project that came in your kit. Here is my finished card.

I made this a 4" x 4" square card and used the 2 stamps that came in the kit all I added were some scraps from the Print Poetry Designer Paper Stack and used some punches!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Paper Pumpkin Welcome Kit
Card Stock: Very Vanilla 101650, Summer Starfruit 126839, Primrose Petals 126841, Raspberry Ripple 126842 and Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack 129312

Feel Goods meets Creative Elements

Hi friends! Today I made a quick card using the new Feel Goods s amp set from Spring Catalog. I like this set because it has some great words of inspiration in the set. Here is what the set looks like.

I used the "Best things in life aren't things" quote and keep my card pretty simple, I also used another stamp set called Creative Elements. I used the Color Coach to select my color, but I couldn't stray too far from my favorite color of Summer Starfruit. Here is my finished card...

A different color combination than I normally use, but I like the colors together!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Feel Goods Wood 129681, Clear 128684, Creative Elements Wood 122645, Clear 122647
Card Stock: Whisper White 100730, Elegant Eggplant 105126
Ink: Elegant Eggplant 126969, Summer Starfruit 126991
Accessories: Big Shot 113439, Labels Collection Framelits 125598, Baja Breeze 1/2" Seam Binding 122331, Rhinestone Basic Jewels 119246, Color Coach 120148 and Dimensionals 104430
