Oh, Hello Meets Label Framelits

Hi friends! I had fun playing with my stamps and Big Shot tools today! I even tried my hand at a challenge. Hopefully my card qualifies, but if not; oh well. I stopped by the Try Stamping On Tuesday Blog to see what sketch they were featuring for the week, so I thought I would give it a try! Here is the sketch for the week!

So I decided to use the Oh, Hello stamp set from the Spring Catalog in some of my favorite bright colors that I like using and then I couldn't resist using my Big Shot! I tell you that is the best investment I have made to complement my stamps! Here is what I came up with!

Just a few details on my card, I colored the image with the Melon Mambo and Lucky Limeade Ink and I used a Stamp-a-ma-jig for placement. I layered two ribbons behind the Delicate Doilies Sizzlits, the Whisper White Organza and Melon Mambo Scallop Dots Ribbon. All this is layered on top of Whisper White that has textured using the Perfect Polka Dots Folder.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Oh Hello - 130730 Wood - 130733 Clear
Card Stock: Whisper White 100730, Melon Mambo 115320, Lucky Limeade 122926
Ink: Lucky Limeade 126984, Melon Mambo 126948
Accessories: Big Shot 113439, Perfect Polka Dots Folder 117335, Labels Collection Framelits 125598, Delicate Doilies Sizzlits L 12699, Stamp-a-ma-jig 101049, Dimensionals 104430, Melon Mambo 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon 122985 and Whisper White 5/8" Organza Ribbon 114319

In My Secret Garden

Hi friends! We're already at the half-way point for this week! I hope you've had a productive week so far!

Today I've done some water coloring and I wanted to share it with you. When I first saw the Secret Garden stamp set in the Spring catalog it reminded me of a technique on how to watercolor roses for a certain stamp set that we had. Well this set doesn't have any roses but I knew this technique would be perfect! I'm not going to go into the technique I will be discussing it in my newsletter this week, want to know more about the technique then subscribe to my newsletter. The technique does involve embossing.

Here's my flower that I embossed.

It's really pretty, I wish I could have captured that in the photo. Now here is what my card looks like, I decided to make a square card!

I hope you like the glimpse of my secret garden!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Vintage Verses (SAB)
Card Stock: Shimmery White, Tangerine Tango, Summer Starfruit, Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper (SAB)
Ink: Tangerine Tango, White Craft Ink
Accessories: Big Shot, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder, Aqua Painter, Whisper White 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Tangerine Tango Sycamore Street 5/8" Ribbon (SAB) and Dimensionals

Thank You featuring Dude, You're Welcome

Hi friends! Today I'm sharing with a Thank You card that features the Dude, You're Welcome Kit.    This kit was just recently introduced from Stampin' Up! I am really liking this kit! Why am I liking it? I'm glad you asked!

I like the kit because the four stamps come assembled (double-sided), the images are bold, it's a kit that a guy could use with instructions. But I found this kit to have so much more potential, granted so far I only made 1 card with it, but I can see myself really using it for other projects because of the bold images. Here is what the kit looks like.

I made a Thank you card and wanted to keep it simple not to take away from the image! So here is my card, I did stamp the image on my favorite color Summer Starfruit to give it some pop!

I used pretty neutral colors except for the Summer Starfruit and used the Chevron Folder and the Apothecary Accents Framelits for the Thank You. I also sponged and spritzed on some ink for more texture. I'm liking this kit and look forward to using it again!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Dude, You're Welcome
Card Stock: Basic Gray, Sahara Sand and Summer Starfruit
Ink: Basic Gray
Accessories: Big Shot, Chevron Textured Embossing Folder, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Sponge, Color Spritzer Tool and Dimensionals

Thinking of You - A Cased Card

Today I thought I would share with you a card cased straight from the Annual Catalog. Do you know what CASE means? Copy And Share Everything. In the world of paper crafting, there is no shame in copying. I just like to make sure I give credit to the person whose idea I copied or cased. There are times when I see an idea that I like, but I might not have the exact products to duplicate, so I will change up the card to make it my own, maybe I'm just using the layout. This is perfectly acceptable and it also helps to jump start your creativity!

The card I decided to case today, I left just was it was from the Annual Catalog, it can be found on page 166. The reason I decided to case this card is because it uses the Razzleberry Splash Simply Scrappin' Kit and it was still out on my work table from last night and I have been wanting to make this card since seeing it in the catalog. So to work I went on caseing it!

On the flower I used the flower stickers from the kit; did you know that if you don't want your stickers to stick you can swipe your embossing buddy across the back to remove the stickiness! If you don't own and embossing buddy you can order one from my online store. So after I removed the sticky from my sticker I popped a dimensional on the back, hard to tell but I also curled up the edges of the flower!

So there you have it a cased card! Your turn, be sure and share with me what you come up with!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Sassy Salutations
Card Stock: Whisper White and Razzleberry Splash Simply Scrappin' Kit
Ink: Black Stazon
Accessories: Big Shot, Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Dimensionals, Whisper White Baker's Twine and Jewel Basic Rhinestones

Card Pouch

Hi friends! Sorry for the late post, very busy day today with hubby! Today I made something special to share with you. I made a card pouch, this pouch will hold note cards, but I made gift enclosure cards for my pouch.

To create my pouch, I used one of Stampin' Up! Simply Scrappin' kits to do this. I like using the kits for things others that scrappin' and this was one of those times. There are just so many ways you could use these kit. The possibilities are endless! The kit I decided to use is call Razzleberry Splash and guess what it doesn't have my new favorite color of Summer Startfruit!

So here is what the pouch looks like all decorated! It has two pockets on the inside, I should have taken some photos, but since I was running late I didn't....maybe I need to think of doing a tutorial!

Here's the pouch with my cards that I made to enclose with a gift and I decorated them really quick using the kit as well!

This is a fun project and would make a great gift! Want to see more fun stuff like this in your email box, then subscribe to my newsletter.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Just for You (from Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit Spring Catalog)

Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Real Red, Pool Party and More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper

More Sale-A-Bration Projects

Hi friends! Today I'll I thought I show you more of what's available with Sale-A-Bration.

I know in previous post I've shown you projects where I've used the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper, but there are other items that go fabulously with that paper that I haven't shared with you. So today I will be using some of those items, but without the paper! How's that for a switch? I I did use some of the colors that are featured in the paper though, like Island Indigo and Rich Razzleberry. Both of these are rich colors and I do like using rich colors!

I used the Textured Embossing Folder call Vine Street, I like using embossing folders because well they do just what the name implies...they add texture and give your project some dimension and for my stamp set I choose to use Madison Avenue stamp set. So would you like to see how I pulled this all together?

Here's the card!

I used the Madison Avenue stamp set and stamped my focal piece in two different colors and then punched out the Razzleberry piece using a circle punch and cut the center portion out and topped it off with a button. So what do you think?

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Madison Avenue (Sale-A-Bration), Loving Thoughts
Card Stock: Whisper White, Island Indigo and Summer Starfruit
Ink: Island Indigo and Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: Big Shot, Vine Street Textured Impression Embossing Folder, Large Scallop Edgelits, Summer Starfruit 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon, 1-1/4" Circle, 1-3/8" Circle, and 1-3/4" Scallop Punch, In Color Dahlias, Dimensionals and Paper Piercing Tool

Late Post and a Challenge

Hi friends, I'm really posting late today. Got really behind in my chores around the house. So this messed with my day of crafting! Don't you hate when that happens?

Today I played along in a challenge the found while surfing the net, from a blog called Hand Stamped Sentiments. So I decided to give the challenge a try.

I like doing challenge's, because it helps me if I'm stuck and not sure what I want to create. So here is how I used this challenge.

I really used my Big Shot on this card! Can you tell? I also sponged ink on all the layers and I even sponged some Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint on the layers as well. The little flower is from the Spring Catalog. Its part of the Artisan Embellishments Kit on page 10. I had fun playing today, even if it is late.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Friendly Phrases
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Pink Pirouette
Ink: Rose Red and Crumb Cake
Accessories: Big Shot, Fancy Fan Textured Embossing Folder, Delicate Designs Folders, Large Scallop Edgelits, Floral Frames Framelits, Pink Pirouette Two-Tone Ribbon (Spring Catalog), Artisan Embellishments Kit and Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint

Interlocking Hearts Valentine Card

Hi Friends! Today I have another idea for a Valentine's day card that I would like to share! Have you started your cards?

I've combined the Hearts Framelits with our Red Glimmer Paper and what a great combo this turned out to be. I used the 3 smaller hearts for my card and I was able to cut them all out in one cut...how cool is that? They easily nested inside of each other! Working with the Framelits is a breeze, if you have not played with them you are missing out! So much fun. Can you tell, I enjoy what I do? Anyway...back to the card! Here is what the Heart Framelits look like!

I also combined the Honeycomb Textured Embossing Folder, adding more texture to my card.

So what do you think? Isn't this a nice way to show someone you are thinking of them on Valentine's Day? If you would like help making your cards or a class for you and your friends, email me and we can set up a time.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Wacky Wishes (Hostess Set)
Card Stock: Pink Pirouette, Red Glimmer Paper
Ink: Real Red
Accessories: Big Shot, Heart Framelits, Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Dimensionals

So Kind of You

Hi friends! Wow, can you believe it's Wednesday already and were half-way through the month...well enough of my chatter!

Today I would like to share with you a card I created using the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit from the Spring catalog. This fun kit has everything for bright, flowery tags-just add attitude!

It contains the following:

  • 9 embossed paper tags (each 2-3/4" x 3-1/2")
  • 9 fabric covered brads: 6 Very Vanilla (3/8"); 3 Summer Starfruit (5/8")
  • Precut paper flower pieces layer into 9 flowers; 6 layers of one style in 2 colors and 3 layers of one style in 1 color
  • 9 pieces of thick Vanilla Baker's Twine (ea. 8")
  • Just for You wood-mounted stamp (1 stamp: exclusive to this kit)
  • Adhesive and ink not included

Coordinating colors for this kit are Calypso Coral, Summer Starfruit, Pool Party and Very Vanilla. Kit sells for $12.95

So I used neutral colors to make the card!

I can never resist using my Big Shot on a project so I used the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Embossing folder to add more texture to the card.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Sweet Essentials
Card Stock: Very Vanilla
Ink: Basic Gray
Accessories: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots Textured Embossing Folder, Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit (Spring Catalog), Tangerine Tango Sycamore Street Ribbon (Sale-A-Bration)

Here's my fun bright Birthday card!

It's probably hard to see, but I also used the Borders Scoring Plate to score a dotted line above the Happy Birthday!

Supplies Used:

Ink: Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Big Shot, Pinwheel Sizzlits, Silver Brads

Pie Anyone?

Hi friends! I hope you are having a relaxing Sunday! I'm working on a cookbook for my son using mds2 - My Digital Studio. One of the recipes that my son requested was a Lemon Meringue Pie, I have the recipe but did not have a photo. So I thought, what the heck. I'll make one and just take a quick photo to have to put in the recipe book!

I'm using as I said mds2 to put the book together and the template that I've purchased to use is called a Compilation of Recipes.

I'm having a blast putting this together for my son and I know that he will enjoy the finished product and have fond memories when cooking some of the recipes!

Now how about some pie?

If you would like to know about My Digital Studio, I would be happy to answer your questions! You can download a FREE trail from my online store.

Fabulous You

Today I'm sharing a birthday card that I made for a very good friend of mine and I'm running late with getting it in the mail! Yikes, the time came quickly. So I had to come up with something quick.

I remembered she fancied a certain set in the Annual Catalog. So I thought I would use that set to make her card. Hence the title of this blog post "Fabulous You" and the name of the stamp set!

Here's what the stamp set looks like!

I decided to use just the shoe and butterfly and wanted the shoe to just sparkle. I didn't want to have to color it. So I decided to emboss it to give it some sparkle. So I stamped my stamp in VersaMark and then in my ink color. The embossing powder I used for the sparkle was Iridescent Ice.

I then added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels for additional sparkle, too bad you can't see the sparkle! I think my friend will be surprised when she receives this card and I hope it makes her feel Fabulous!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Fabulous You and Curly Cute
Card Stock: Pink Pirouette and Whisper
Ink: VersaMark and Rose Red
Accessories: Big Shot, Scallop Square Bigz Clear, Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Pink Pirouette 1-1/4" Two-Tone Ribbon, Paper-Piercing Tool and Stampin' Pierce Mat

Thanks for stopping by! Click her to place a Stampin' Up! order.
