Quick and Easy Halloween Decor

Hi Friends! Have you seen the Toxic Framable Digital Design Template on page 25 in the Holiday catalog? You use My Digital Studio to create a framable piece of artwork that matches your home decor.

Since we don't have small children at home or any children for that matter I don't go all out decorating, but that doesn't mean that I can't enjoy Halloween. This was the fastest thing to put together and I am by no means a guru when it comes to using My Digital Studio, but if I can do you so can you!

I downloaded the template and added it to the My Digital Studio software. Hey remember you can download and try the software free for 30 days. I could have sent my project to have it printed from Stampin' Up!, but since I am so late decorating, I decided to print it at home.  I did have to cut down the finished product so that it would fit into my frame. So here is the finished product.

Supplies used:
Card Stock: Very Vanilla
Accessories: My Digital Studio, Toxic Framable Digital Design Template, 8 x 10" picture frame

It really was an easy project, it took me longer to pick out a frame from one of the big box stores than it did for me to create it! How will you decorate for Halloween?

Halloween and Christmas Ornaments

Hi friends! I'm sure by now you have all seen the wonderful Christmas ornament featured on front of the Holiday catalog! Well one of my customers wanted to learn how to make the ornament. So we got together over the weekend and I showed her how to make one.

But first I had to make one! I must say that this is a very labor intensive project but so worth it once you are done and the possibilities are endless what you can do to change up the original idea. My customer and I had a wonderful time bonding and crafting together!

Here is what the original ornament looks like! This is my front view.

Here is what the back of the ornament looks like.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Ornament Keepsakes, Perfect Punches
Ink: Lucky Limeade, Real Red
Card Stock: Lucky Limeade, Very Vanilla, Candlelight Christmas Specialty DSP
Accessories: Cherry Cobbler Scalloped Tulle Ribbon, Linen Thread, Holiday Ornaments Framelits, Vintage Faceted Buttons, Large Pearl Basic Jewels, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, 2-3/8" Scallop Punch, Big Shot, Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint, Stampin' Spritzer, Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Now I didn't have the need a second Christmas ornament, so I decided to make a Halloween ornament at the same time that I was instructing my customer on how to make her ornament.

Here is how that ornament looks!

Notice I didn't do any stamping on this ornament and I'm happy with this look! Here is what I did on the back of the ornament.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Ornament Keepsakes, Googly Ghouls
Ink: Stazon
Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Basic Gray, Howlstooth & Scaringbone  DSP
Accessories: Crumb Cake Scalloped Tulle Ribbon, Linen Thread, Holiday Ornaments Framelits, Vintage Faceted Buttons, Large Pearl Basic Jewels, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Window Frames Collection Framelits, Big Shot, Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint, Stampin' Spritzer, Multipurpose Liquid Glue

After making these ornaments I think I'm hooked and I'm sure that I will be making more of them and perhaps simplifying the process! This was so much fun to do!

Wish Big for the Guys!

Hi Friends! Do you struggle with making masculine cards of any type? Don't feel bad, I struggle as well. Today I thought I would share with you a masculine birthday card, that could easily become a feminine card with just a change of colors and embellishments.

I must admit that I did not come up with this card on my own, remember I said that I struggle as well. So I found my inspiration in this years annual catalog right on page 179. If you know me, you know that I tend to use the Brights collection quite often and this card uses one of those colors! Although, it wasn't a color that I would use often, but it was a fun color to use. The card in the catalog wasn't a birthday card, so I made a few changes so that it would fit my needs. This card used the Big Shot, everything is better with the Big Shot...right?

So are you ready to have a look at finished card?

Do you see what I mean about it being a card that you could easily change up the colors and embellishments to make it feminine? I think I will make that a priority this week to make some more of these cards using some different embossing folders and buttons....I can't wait to see how it  changes the look of the card!

Stamping Supplies:
Stamps: Word Play
Card Stock: Pacific Point and Very Vanilla
Ink: Pacific Point
Accessories: Big Shot, Chevron Embossing Folder, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Naturals Designer Buttons

Inspiration for Halloween

Hi Friends! Today I thought I would share a quick and easy card for Halloween. This cards uses product from the Holiday Catalog. If you haven't looked through the catalog yet, you are seriously missing out. There is something for everyone. The possibilities are endless with the products in this catalog! So enough about the catalog, I'm sure you want to see what the card looks like.

I struggled today with what I wanted to share, I guess my creative mojo was on a vacation. I hate when that happens, so I really haven't used some of my products from the catalog and decided that I needed to put them to good use. So here is what I came up with.

As I said it was a quick card, but I didn't leave out any fun elements of making a card.  I'll show you a close-up of the scallop, because I ran that part through the Big Shot and used one of the Embossing folders.

I thought that added some more interest to the card. What do you think? I might just add this card to a class that I will be teaching soon. I would love to have you and your friends attend or I would be happy to do a class for you and your friends or even a 1 on 1 class. Here's the details for the card:

Stamp Set: Googly Ghouls
Card Stock: Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Tangerine Tango, Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper
Ink: Stazon
