Hello to You

Hi friends! I have a really quick post to share with you today! I received my Paper Pumpkin kit for this month so I thought I would share one of the cards I made. The kit this month is called Hello to You!

It's a really fun kit. I love receiving this kit each month because I never know what I will receive for the project that month. This month it was projects for 4 cards using a hexagon pattern which is so trendy right now! Also, I like that I add more stamps to my stash! Although you can't purchase the kit I'm showing you today you can still sign up for the monthly subscription at www.mypaperpumpkin.com. If you decide to sign up be sure to list me as your demonstrator (Vanessa Terrell). So here's my finished card!

Alphabet Press Hello

Hello friends! I had fun playing with new products today! I used the new Alphabet Pressed Textured Impressions Embossing Folder along with the Core'dinations paper as well as some other things to create my card today!

The Core'dinations paper is so much fun to play with and it comes in all of our colors...what is neat about this paper is that it is smooth on one side and textured on the other and you can sand it. So I had fun creating a mess sanding my paper! I also played with the new Chalk Talk Framelits, these are going to be a favorite of mine...especially since you can use them to make tags...hello! What a breeze it will be to make tags for gifts at Christmas or heck at anytime you need one for a gift! Here are some of the items I used today!

Beautifully Baroque Wedding Wishes

I'm invited to a wedding this weekend and needed a card so I pulled out some of my new supplies to make one. I used the new Beautifully Baroque Textured Impressions Embossing Folder!

To add some wow to my card I used the Shimmery White cardstock. Once again I found myself without the color of ribbon I needed so I quickly dyed some White Taffeta ribbon using my Wisteria Wonder Ink Refill.

The embossed panel was cut using the Large Scallop Edgelits and then layered onto Wisteria Wonder cardstock and then that panel was layered onto more Shimmery White cardstock.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Petite Pairs w: 128706 c:122497
Cardstock: Shimmery White 101910 and Wisteria Wonder 122922
Ink: Wisteria Wonder 126985 and Wisteria Wonder Refill 122931
Accessories & Tools: Big Shot 113439, Beautifully Baroque TIEF 130917, Large Scallop Edgelits 127019, Whisper White 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon 109070 and Dimensionals 104430

Happy Day

Hi friends! Sorry for the late post! Busy day today! But I do have a quick card to share. I used the Happy Day stamp set!

It's a new set in the catalog and I cased a card! The card is shown on page 22 and I changed the colors around and used a different stamp set than the one that was used in the catalog! The catalog uses Hello, Lovely but I as I said I used Happy Day. Here is what the stamp set looks like.

I also used the new Modern Day DSP, one of the new In Colors...Strawberry Slush and my most favorite tool of all time. The Magnetic Platform...I'll share more about this tool in a minute. Here's how my card turned out!

I also used the Chevron Embossing folder and applied the Strawberry ink directly to the folder and used Watercolor paper. Now back to the Magnetic Platform...I used it to cut out the Oval Framelit! What's neat about the Magnetic Platform is no more Framelits or Edgelits moving around...pretty cool! Here's a video on the Magnetic Platform. If you are a Big Shot owner this is a must have!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Happy Day w: 130294 c: 130297
Cardstock: Basic Black 121045, Strawberry Slush 131295, Modern Medley DSP 126926 and Watercolor Paper 122959
Ink: Strawberry Slush 131178 and Basic Black 126980
Accessories & Tools: Big Shot 113439, Magnetic Platform 130658, Chevron TIEF 127749, Ovals Collection Framelits 129381, Decorative Label Punch 120907 and Dimensionals 104430
